Not all dogs interact in the same way; that’s why we’re prepared for diverse groups that are assessed for compatibility based on age and social behavior tendencies, rather than just size.  Children that are in preschool are best suited to interact with each other, while college students typically interact with others their age.  Appropriate behavior for each group varies widely.  For this reason, we keep puppies under six months old together and create groups of elder dogs based on relative maturity and observed social preferences. Some dogs thrive with continuous exertion and stimulation, but others benefit from breaks in the action. Time out of dog daycare is not punitive; we proactively intervene to keep balance in the rooms and prevent issues from overstimulation. Our staff are tuned in to changes in the group dynamic and provide ample time for rest and recovery throughout the day. Whether your pup is an 80 lb. herder or a 5 lb. wrestler, we will find the perfect group complete with a canine companion to oversee the games and activities. It’s our goal to ensure that all our guests are stimulated both mentally and physically while in our care.

Dog daycare isn’t for everyone. Whether your pup has physical limitations or just doesn’t like being bathed in slobbery kisses, you can be sure their stay at The Dog Stop® will be filled with fun and relaxation. Non-social dogs are given quality one-on-one time with a canine companion. This gives your pup a chance to burn off energy, engage in interactive games, and, of course, receive lots of puppy love. As leading experts in an ever-changing industry, we keep abreast of the latest and best practices to ensure all canine visitors have access to a positive experience. We are proud to offer an enrichment program for all dogs at select locations.

Our staff is trained to manage packs of dogs according to AACPH standards. All staff members must pass written and physical tests to understand dog language and how to proactively deal with inappropriate behaviors in group play.

Come rain, come wind, come three feet of snow or scorching heat, our pups have energy to burn! At The Dog Stop® not only do we have year-round outdoor areas for playtime, but we also provide an expansive climate-controlled indoor play area. We cannot guarantee sunshine, but we can guarantee a consistently fun and safe atmosphere for puppy playtime.

We use both FRP and vinyl fencing in all our dog daycare facilities. Both materials are ideal when pitted against the elements (and hiked legs). It also prevents climbing and keeps pups in the appropriate areas without the risk of scratching that comes with chain-link fencing. FRP and Vinyl fencing also protects dogs from excess visual stimulation and keeps them focused on playing with their canine friends. Enclosure materials are antimicrobial and extremely easy to clean, ensuring sanitary playing and sleeping areas for your pup.

Our surface materials offer the best in safety and sanitation. Turf surfaces are low-impact and provide a grass-like experience for dogs that are particular about where they eliminate. The Dog Stop® turf areas prevent waste collection due to superior drainage over other surfaces. Our poured epoxy floor is textured to be non-slip while being smooth enough for easy clean-up.
